Need Suspension Components Help Please

Hello all, I have a 2007 460 with 120,000 miles and all original suspension components.
I took my car to my trusted indy mechanic for a front end allignment last week, he called and said you have bigger problems, everything is worn out, moving, leaking.

EDIT: Please disregard, delete, this post as my mechanic has called and we have gone over the components that he is ordering, KYB, etc etc
Sorry about posting and asking for replies, I did not realize that he had been working on the sources.

Transmission Fluid Change (what type)?

Hey everyone! I own a 2005 Lexus GS300 with an ATF, I just purchased the car, so I dont know when the last flush was done, but by the looks of it its been a while because the fluid looks burnt. My transmission is shifting Into second gear quite “weird” and has delayed acceleration when taking off from stop. I was thinking of getting it done at the Toyota dealership, but they said $175 for a drain and fill which is not what I want, I want a full flush. I normally go to the Auto Center by my house and the price for a flush is cheaper with fluid provided ($70). Should I have the Auto center do it? Main concern is the type of fluid they use, will using a non OEM mess up my tranny?. If i were to do it on my own which fluid is needed?

Interpreting date codes toyota japanese made components

Toyota parts produced in Japan and shipped to North America have labels containing coded date codes.

Apparently components produced in USA use a different coding sheet and date of manufacture is ascertainable by U.S. Toyota Dealer network.

Anyone with codes necessary to decipher OEM Japanese replacement part date codes?

Rubber parts have a finite shelf life so am attempting to ascertain whether receiving a two year old part or twenty year old part.

Infiniti Q70 Falls Victim To SUVs, Gets Axed From US And Canada


Nissan’s luxury car brand Infiniti has decided to pull the plug on the Q70. The executive sedan will be retired from the United States and Canada after the 2019MY, but dealers will continue to sell the existing stock until it runs out.



“The Q70 will not be available for the 2020 model year in the United States and Canada”, an Infiniti spokesperson told CarScoops. “We expect that there will be quantities of the 2019 model year through the end of the calendar year at least.”

“In response to consumer demand, we continue to focus on sport utilities and crossovers, and the all-new QX55 sport utility coupe will be added to Infiniti showrooms within the year. We are, however, absolutely committed to the car market with our Q50 sports sedan, which continues to be one of the top sellers at our retailers, and the Q60 sports coupe.”

U.S. sales of the Q70 have dropped from 10,818 units in 2011 to 9,130 in 2012, 5,283 in 2013 and 5,034 in 2014. In 2016, they delivered 5,872 examples, 5,772 in 2017 and 4,479 last year, according to CarSalesBase. From January to September 2019, just 2,196 Q70s were sold, practically sealing the model’s fate.

The 2019 Q70 is still present in the company’s official U.S. website that lists it 2019 at $50,400 for the standard version and $51,900 for the L, both of which are available with either a 3.7-liter V6 or a 5.6-liter V8. The rivaling Mercedes-Benz E-Class has an MSRP of $54,050, while the BMW 5-Series starts at $53,900 and the Audi A6 at $54,900. Pricing for the new Cadillac CT5, on the other hand, starts at just $36,895.

RX450h hybrid compared to Toyota Avalon Hybrid

Hello fellow 450h owners! I bought a 2013 RX450h with 77k miles few weeks ago and haven't driven much but noticed something that I wanted to post. I have a 2013 Toyota Avalon hybrid with 127k miles that I've been driving for last few years as my main work/personal vehicle. I'm getting about 38 MPG with Avalon in normal mode (2 miles less than EPA estimates).

Anyway, what I notice in actual driving is that the Avalon feels much quicker and peppier especially from a complete stop. When a gas pedal is pressed, it does not hesitate and I can feel the electric motors' instant torque pulling the car along with gas engine kicking in. It does have a small 2.4 liter 4 cylinder engine so I do feel lack of power with heavy accelerating. Also, I do see 'EV' light coming on often even when cruising at 50 miles or less with a foot off the gas pedal. However, the 450h feels little sluggish and I cannot feel the electric motors' instant torque once it's going, it gets better but I feel it lacks power.

2013 is the first year of Avalon's new design that lasted till 2018 and it makes me think Avalon has an advanced hybrid system with possibly better hybrid battery utilization and algorithm. I did't pay attention to its hybrid battery charging level until I got 450h, but it seems Avalon lets the hybrid battery to go all the way down to 2 bars where as the battery in 450h isn't getting that low level.

I wish I can utilize all the power and torque available from the hybrid battery and V6 engine of 450h more efficiently.

Ressetting ecu and disconnecting battery

I all. It's been awhile since I refreshed my ECU by disconnecting the battery. How long should the negative terminal be disconnected.....15 minutes? 30 minutes? Does it matter? I'm planning on disconnecting it for 30 minutes and then will be resetting my radio stations, and seat positions. The reason I'm refreshing the ECU at this time is because I want to check and see if it has any affect on 1 Pending code and an eventual CEL for the same code P0440 (Evaporative Emmission System) that periodically comes on. . I know it can't hurt and it's probably a good idea to do periodically, to take care of any possible glitches that can occur periodically. I was just wondering if the time it's disconnected really matters. Thank all.

I know! I have an old car but I’m cheap and don’t spend money on vehicles. But, I’ve been searching for a good diy for remote starter install as my key fob no longer works and it’s about to get cold. Can anyone point me in the right direction for a diy? Since the car is so old, it all has to be hardwired which has me somewhat nervous.

Hi guys, figure I share these pictures I came across on a FB group Im on. One of the members ran a 12.1 @ 115 mph. Not my car so Im not sure what mods and methods he used to launch ect. The fastest times Ive seen a LC500 run. Looks like a stock touring package LC500 but I could be wrong.

Ac blows cold air on one side and hot air on the other

I’ve got an is 250 2006. The ac is cold on the drivers side but warm on the passenger side. I tried adding refrigerant but the gauge said to see a mechanic (high pressure)

has anyone one had this problem before?

I used an ac pro can of refrigerant.

For sale is my original Lexus RC 350 F Sport steering wheel that was removed from my car. It's in excellent condition, I took great care of it. No cracking, no peeling and no discoloration. It includes the 2 paddle shifters that came stock from factory. It came of an RC and I'm sure it can fit other Lexus models but you'd have to do your research. Its boxed up and ready to go!

Hey there Lexusians! I purchased my 2016 200t F Sport on Wednesday and am loving it! I had a 2014 MB CLA until I totaled it on October 8.
I'm figuring out the details of the car currently. I've used the navigation a few times. One time it didn't give me voice directions when I got off the freeway
and it was confusing. I went back to Google Maps on the iPhone. I'd like to use voice command. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. I trained it to
know my voice. Can you tell it to go to the name of a business instead of telling it an address? I attempted this to no avail. I did set my address as home, so
that's done. I'd like to use it if it will work for me. For those times it doesn't work, how do I get audio through the system's speakers from Google Maps on
my phone? I appreciate any suggestions you guys have. Thanks a lot!

First Track Day in the Rain!

This event at Laguna Seca was actually ran back in Feb 2017. However, I recorded it in 4K and my 2009 iMac was unable to edit the footage. Fast forward, I have a new Mac to edit the footage. This was my first track day, the first vid is part 1 as I learn the track etiquette and by part 2, I was pretty much on my own. Just frustrating because if the rain, and there’s a bit of sliding around.
I also have another session from Thunderhill that’s in the works of being edited.

Next UAW Contract Negotiation: Ford

Having finalized a four-year contract with GM, the UAW will now target Ford in separate negotiations, though using the GM contract as a basis. However, a long bitter strike or conflict with Ford is not expected at this time, as relations with Ford are generally better than with GM, Ford is not engaging in massive American plant-shutdowns like GM, and generally employs more people within American borders. The UAW, unlike with GM and Chrysler, also didn't put up any of its own money to save Ford from bankruptcy, so that's not going to be a bargaining-issue like it was with GM.

(Just an aside note on my part, though......what happened recently with the new 2020 Explorers and Lincoln Aviators coming out of Ford's Chicago plant is a public embarassment to both management and labor....to the extent that Ford is shipping those vehicles up to the Flat Rock, MI plant to make proper repairs and address the defect-level. Both labor and management, IMO, in their upcoming negotiations, will need to remember that it is the customers buying or leasing these products that help keep them both in business. Employees will need to remember that, in exchange for the pay and benefits they get, they have a responsibility to do an honest day's work and do it properly. Management has to remember that it is their job to give the employees a safe, efficient, hassle-free plant to work in, with machines, tools, and robots that will enable the employees to properly build and assemble these vehicles to the proper quality and tolerance level. So far, we don't seem to be getting much of either at the Chicago plant.)

Thinking about giving this exhaust a try again, sold one 3 years ago due to drone at 70-80 mph. Planning on getting a new donut gasket.. Just wondering if anyone has one of these sitting around collecting dust with an intact/good gasket on the driver side muffler. Relevant part number is T70113A.

Local to southeastern Louisiana, and have a location in Memphis, TN as well. Open to shipping.
