Outside rear view mirror problem.

Hi,

I just purchased a 2004 RX330. The outside rear view mirrors only work partially during day when the weather is warm. Only at night time when the weather is cooler the mirrors work in all directions. Anyone know of a fix for this? Thanks.

Window Shades and Auto Trunk Closer Notes

For those of us with kids - although this is not a US model option, I was reading through the PDS manual for the GS F and found there are rear side window shades you can get from Lexus that fully integrate with the car. They're not exactly cheap like going to the baby aisle at Target, but they're designed for our cars and fully cover the window(s). I am looking into acquiring a set of these and will advise when I have them in hand.

Part numbers are:

Right Rear 65960-30041 and 65907-30070-C0
Left Rear 65970-30041 and 65908-30070-C0

The first number is for the small round section at the rear, the second is for the main window. Description is " CFRP COMPOSITE & SUN SHADE-WITH(BACK WINDOW & REAR DOOR WINDOW), BLACK"

I also did some poking into the rear window sunshade. It appears to be able to be installed, and the wiring is there to connect it. Just not sure about the body ECU being programmed to work it. You need to replace the rear deck panels and install the sunshade as well as the switch. The parts are about $2.1k new, so it's a pretty significant gamble to determine if it will work or not even if you're buying junkyard parts.

Shade - 64350-30152-C0
Package Tray Panels - 64330-30C13-C0 and 64340-30161-C1 (for Mark Levinson equipped vehicles)
Switch - 84940-75041
Sunshade Relay - 84940-75041

Last but not least, I did the homework on the wiring harness for the trunk closer. The wiring is there. The parts to implement are again, not at all inexpensive, but at least if you buy the parts, the wires and connectors are present. I have not fully priced this out, but it again will be well over $1k for new parts.

This morning, on going into the garage, noted that the rear end of my car (2014 350 F-Sport AWD), which had been turned off since last night, sounded like a hybrid when you first open the front door (buzzing sound). The sounds came from the rear end. Again, the car had been turned off since last night (7 hours ago). Car started easily, but the sounds were likely on all night.

Theories?

Hello one and all. Just bought a 95 ls400. Well I lost the key first night it was home. So I went a bought an ignition for the net and it turned out the it only has six wire connector on the main plug but the older ignition has seven wire plug can anyone tell me how I can wire this up. Or tell me what each wire color controls what on each of the connectors I believe the new ignition came from a 96 or 96 Ls400. Any help would greatly be appreciated. Yeah I looked everywhere for the key how frustrating.

Clear paint residues over LCD and clock

Detail experts, I need your help. My GS 350 radio screen has a lot of clear paint residues on it. The kind you can feel with your finger and see at clear light, also the plastic display where temperature and time is displayed, please don't ask me how clear paint got there..

I need something that will remove and not damage the LCD on the way... Any ideas? Maybe a mix of 50/50 90% alcohol and water? Help is highly appreciated

Another squeaks and clunks sounds thread..

...seems like there's a lot of these on here but unfortunately I can't to seem to find info that would help me.

Since couple months ago my car has been doing strange noises from the driver side front wheel area when I'm turning or going over bumps slowly. At first it sounded like the rubbing screech from when a spring rubs on rubber, then the clunky sounds begun. Quite embarrassing when passengers in the car. Oddly, it sort of goes away or gets worse when the weather changes (so I think, maybe it's just in my head).

The last couple nights I've driven it, there has been times when I'm at a red light and when I take off this loud clunk can be heard from under the car around my pedals/feet.

I took off the wheel and everything seems ok to the eye. Nothing noticeable. Is it the LCA's bushings? Any recommendations on how to check them?

Hello, I recently changed the screen digitizer because the touchscreen was not working. It worked for a few days. Now a new problem arises, the screen turned off after awhile.

I tried reading the other thread about changing the power driver circuit board because the screen goes black completely. However, mine either won’t turn on at all or completely shuts off while driving.

I’m not sure if this is a power connection issue, or maybe I accidentally loosen a connection while fixing the digitizer.

Any advice is appreciated. Thanks

IS250 Parking sensor problem

Hello Guys,I am a happy owner of IS250 2012 and I have couple issues.1. my parking sensor sopped to make sound after I change my multi media console (to android ), I can see the distance on my speedometer but no sound (muted).I tried to turn it off and on, tried to disconnect my battery for hours but no change. (when I connect it to OBD its says that " Parking Sensor not equipped ")if any one know how to fix it ??

Radio - sound issue. Keeps going ON and OFF

Hi Guys,

I have a following issue.
From time to time I got no sound at all in my car.
There is no real pattern to this.... It does not seem like it is a wiring (connection) problem as it does not show up on bumps, etc...
Most of the time when it is really hot it can stop working (the radio, whole unit seems OK) but there is just no sound.
hen I go into "Sound" setting MID tone correction is gone and "dot" for balance...

Sometimes after 5 min sometimes after 1h everything goes back to normal.... and it OK for next few days....
On the other hand sometimes it can happen few times in a rowe in 1 day...

Thought this might be amplifier... goe a "new" one from auction site - same thing, nothing changed.

One more thing... maybe it will give you a clue where to look for a problem? - right before the sound dies I can hear radio/cd.... but volume does not work... so it is on one level...

GS450h 19" wheels some advice please

hy guys, first of all thank you for reciving me and greets to all of you, i want to buy some aftermarket wheels for my Lexus and don t know what to chose at dimensions i took some 19" for my previous car and it was scratchin at the rear wheel arches so i don t want to happen this again with this car.
At the moment it has 18" stock wheels no suspension mod, but for the future i want to lower it a little only from springs, what et, j and dimension of tyre would you recomand to not have problems for scratchin and be in standart with car, thank you all in advance

Funny enough, this works for us since my kid is sometimes sleeping in the back anyway and we don't want to wake him with our Hall & Oates-level rock and roll music...

Used RX purchase - looking for input from current owners

Hello everyone,
Need a bit of help from current owners here....

I'm currently looking at used RX350s from 2013/2014, and most of them have around 80,00km to 90,000km on the clock within my budget range. I am only looking at options from Lexus Dealerships at this point. I plan to keep the vehicle for 5 years and will be putting on about 30,000km per year.

1. Is this going to be a good idea, meaning will this turn into a major money pit in the next 2/3 years? I will obviously look for units with full service history and have my mechanic do a PPI, but some of these might not be Lexus CPO.

2. I am looking for something that is REALLLLLLLLLY quiet and smooth, will this fit the bill? I've looked at a TON of options and just can't seem to find the perfect option. Some days I have no choice but to take a concrete toll route for a majority of that commute, and its just painful listening to that road roar.

3. How would you rate the seats on this vehicle? My commute is about 60km on way, mostly highway. I need the seats (both bottom and lumbar) to be REALLLLLLY comfortable and supportive.
