Please Help - P 0717 p 0980

Okay, new 04 GS300 owner, 115k on it.

Okay, so I did search, and from what I understand I need to replace to replace a solenoid.

I am noticing a harsh shift around 2nd gear, not horrible but is worrying me, I'm getting codes p0717 and p0980.

I took it to a local mechanic and paid 532$ for him to change out the transmission fluid and do oil change. He said the transmission fluid was really dirty and it SHOULD get rid of the problem, the VSC CEL and VSC off lights are still on and its still shifting weird after several weeks of driving.

How much more money am i looking in repairs? I am super concerned about it and very worried, I diden't think it would cost me 500 dollars to get the transmission fluid changed. My dad and the mechanic both say leave it, but I am concerned that its going to be bad on the transmission.

I don\t have any mechanical experience to do it myself

Any advice really appreciated. Thank you!

Missing navigation micro SD card

Just bought a used white 2015 GS 350 FSport from a used car dealer. Navigation screen says "searching for data" and is basically useless with the microSD card. I also have a grey 2015 GS 350 FSport that I bought new from the dealer in 2015 so the navigation works fine. I tried inserting the "grey" micro sd card into the "white" slot to see what would happen... NOTHING! Apparently these micro SD cards are vehicle specific. Before I goto the dealer and get upsold on everything, what else am I looking at? Someone had mentioned the cost of both the card and programming??? It's understandable why these would be vehicle specific but it also pisses me off that someone took it and it won't work in anyone else's vehicle. I see Lexus micro SD cards for sale on eBay for $80 but thankfully I had one to test out before I wasted my money. I fully understand I have to goto the dealer but I just want to know what I have to pay for an approx cost. Any guidance much appreciated.

Whats up Club Lexus! I am looking to sell my r154. I bought it from someone on facebook who had it in his sc300. He sent me videos of him driving around before he pulled it. It goes into all the gears and everything seems fine to me , but it is sold as is. ( I personally haven't messed with it installed on a car , just played with it on the floor of my garage lol.) It comes with the transmission and shifter , no bell housing. Im looking to get $1850 slightly negotiable. Not looking to ship but may be willing to drive a bit. Im in Dallas Texas. So I picked up my new '15 GS350 Fsport tonight and of course the dealer gave it a "detail" before delivery. In other words it was covered in some greasy, shinny crap. I got it home and immediately started wiping everything down. For whatever reason, the bottom corner of my dash cluster seems to be impossible to rid the greasy stuff. I tried windex and a microfiber towel but to no avail. I have other cleaning products but am worries about doing further damage. Anyone ever dealt with this before? Suggestions on how to clean it off??

No display after connecting MP3 adapter to ML radio

I have bought an MP3 adapter from Ebay. It has a plug into the 6+6 CD changer connector.
After I connect it to ML radio, adapter is working but no display from radio (amplifier plug removed from radio).
If I connect both MP3 and amplifier plug into CD changer connector with an Y cable, the MP3 adapter isn't working (radio works normally).

The car is a GS450h Mark Levinson 2007.

What can be the problem here?
Help, please.

Afs light flashing when installed coilovers

whats going on guys, so I installed some coilovers and now the afs light is flashing. I already know it has to do with the projectors aiming on the road when driving. Also I already tried adjusting the sensor for the afs light by the left rear tire. There’s a 10mm on it and tired to adjust it up and down and the afs light never changed. Somebody told me to flip the sensor? I haven’t tried that yet , didn’t even know you can do that but has anyone have this problem when lowering your car and what else can I try to stop the flashing light on my cluster.

RX 350 alternator change

helped a friend yesterday replace the alternator in a RX 350. Followed the youtube instructions about not removing the radiator. No worries 1.5hrs to remove, 1hr to install. Really an easy straight forward job. (bolts on alternator were super tight to remove)

CA WTB: ISF Full Rear Seats
