2014 Lexus IS350 F-sport wheels and tires

For Sale, 4 IS 350 F-Sport wheels, the wheels are all 18x8 (squared) and they include sensors (from lexus) and goodyear eagle all season tires. We used them for 1 winter. There is one small chip on one spoke on the wheels. Asking $1600.00 plus shipping. Locate in Mechanicsburg Pa. These worked nice for winter tires.

Rust Proof Melting Problem

Hello,

I wanted to see if the community had better insight to the issue i have. I recently purchased a new RX350 and opted in for additional rust proofing. The rust proofing from my understand is oil based and is now melting due to the recent high temperatures in my area. Is this a common thing to occur or is this a serious problem? My concern is the long term integrity of my vehicle and residue melting onto my drive.

Any insight would be appreciated.

Thank you,

Z

2nd row seat latch hook stuck

Hi! One of the latch hooks on the passenger side 2nd row seat in my 2008 GX470 is stuck in the closed position, but with the seat already folded up & flipped forward. As such, I’ve been unable to latch the seat back down properly. Any ideas on how to get it working again? The rest of the mechanism seems to be fine- it’s just the one latch hook.

Intake Manifold Valve Issue?

Valve shown in the video is actuating on it's own at idle. Turning car on and off again makes it behave normally, but once I rev to around 3-4k RPM, the valve starts actuating on it's own again. Nothing noticeable occurs when driving. OBD codes show P2009. Haven't touched anything under the hood recently.

08 LS600HL shocks are dying need guidance

Hi Guys,

First of all I am super new to this. I was introduced to the site by one of my colleague. I own a 2008 LS600HL. I love that car and pretty much drove all around North America and Canada in it. Just hit the 125k mark last week. I am having issues with the air ride. Last week on my trip back from Vegas it started making clunking sound from the front right. Took it into Lexus and my advisor told me about the air shocks going out. The cost to replace all 4 is just not worth it in my opinion. I thought about just switching it over to coil overs.
Th only problem is that wherever I read online it talks about coilover for LS460 no mention of 600HL so any help in that department will be appreciated. I do not want to get rid of it.

Thanks

Brake performance of 2016 GX460

I bought a 2016 certified GX460 from the local dealership with 35K miles last week. This is my first Lexus and I am very excited for the truck. I got the premium trim with silver color which is what I wanted (to be frank, anything other than white or black would have been okay). I am replacing my Sienna van with this GX and obviously the handling is quite different. I knew I wanted a body on frame and the differences are expected to me. This is one gorgeous SUV.

The only thing I am not a big fan of how this truck brakes. It appears to me that I have to push the brake harder than usual (compared to my other Toyotas) and I tend to push the gear to neutral every time I stop at a red light because, again I have to use some power to hold the brake. Is this normal? I never had a situation I had trouble braking bit I am not liking how it handles. Could my brake pad be worn out at 35K? Mine has another 4years of extended warranty but I don't think brakes are included. Any feedback?

1jz VVTI Troubleshooting

I've been trying to solve some engine issues for a while. The car drives decent overall but I have some symptoms that are bothersome.

1jzgte VVTI - stock jdm 1jz ecu - obd1 car - w58 - FMIC - generic k&n style air intake - stock BOV - Walbro 450 - 12v fuel ecu mod w/ relay

I have misfire that's most obvious on acceleration in lower gears - drives fine at higher speeds
Significant hesitation when shifting 1-2 or 2-3
Steady idle for the most part but will randomly fall and remain low until restarting the car
Fuel economy is not near what it should be
Car was recently smogged and had the worst hydrocarbon rating to still pass. All others were fine, NOx is getting up there.
Stored codes are 42 - 'VSS Signal' and 47 - 'Sub Throttle Position Sensor' (not being used). Don't care about this unless its relevant which I don't think they are.

I've gone through several sets of plugs at various gaps
Replaced coilpacks and boots with another oem set
Cleaned the MAF
Replaced forward O2 sensor
Checked thoroughly for vacuum leaks
Near perfect compression test results
TPS professionally calibrated
Inspected ECU board for damage

I'm looking at the injectors next but that's more time and money for what may or may not fix the problem and they're not cheap to have cleaned. Most people just suggest I go standalone and forget about trying to replace and hope with all the various parts that could be at fault.
So my question is should I cough up the money to go standalone when I don't really have any performance goals above stock and I just want this thing to run the way it's supposed to? Are there any piggyback options I should consider? Would a wideband alone help me diagnose what's going on? Any suggestions beyond what I've done that are cheap to troubleshoot?

Thanks for reading - here's some pics for your time.

Converting roof antenna to back glass

I am curious if anyone has thought about doing this the radio waves are just magnetic charges I believe if what I was reading was correct.

This is my idea....the defroster lines on your back windshield are metal I think so can I just hook up one end of the antenna to one side then do the same on the other side like 2003 Chevy impala has.

Lexus Rx 400h 2006

I drove the car and the hybrid light came on. I was able to drive to the nearest Lexus dealership, but after a couple days they said the code was P0AA6 and the information code was 526. They said i need a new transmission and the repairs would cost $5500. Im the first owner of this car and am very disappointed. Does anyone have advice or was in the same situation.

December to Remember

I am looking for a certified RX350 (2016-17) . Would it be better to wait till the December to Remember event to by a pre owned certified Lexus?
