Hey guys I don't have great eyesight lol I know the irony anyways... i do not see anywhere on the back of the trunk lid where i can tie bungee cords to.... so if i am put something in the trunk thats bigger and I cannot close it I do not see points where i can tie these cords to. you know the kind of cords with the rounded metal hooks at the end.....
Hey guys. I got a CF spoiler with fitment issues. Both right and left edges have a gap that the 3M tape doesn't reach and the long edge facing the front of the car has also a gap where the tape doesn't reach the surface of the trunk. However the tape along the edge of the trunk touches without issues. Anyone with recommendations on getting the tape to actually touch the surface?
I had it mounted for a few days and didn't like seeing leaves and other stuff get stuck between the gap. I was thinking of putting another layer of 3M tape but it looks like I would need another layer on top of that to mount it perfectly but there will be a noticeable gap. Probably a stupid question but am I able to heat up the spoiler and reshape it a little bit to make it fit better?
I'm planning on mounting 245-45-18 Dunlop sp.maxx rt 2 100y tl xl fp nst *mo with Noise Shield Technology because they are the finest tyres I have ever driven on!
Have them now on my original rims and these are extremely quit but sticky as well. The best of both worlds.
Can anybody confirm the fitment in the back and how much do I have to roll the fenders? I really dont want to pull them to wide and I hope that I dont have to respray the back... My LS is silver and thats a horrible color to repaint.
And in the front with those huge LS430 callipers as well?
I believe I found that you cant just roll the fenders on an LS because of the double plating and together with that you shouldn't just cut off 100% of the overlapping but just 50% so you can bent and roll the rest all together? I hope that somebody can confirm that as well.
Hope to get something similaire like this when I mount these type of wheels. Especially the back is absolutely perfect to me!

I'm looking at buying the rcf and looking at different exhaust, but the GtHaus stands out the most and I came across this video of the gsf with the GtHaus and the cold starts has lots of pops? Does the rcf have this as well. I love the pop corn and want the on the rcf, but can't find videos of it with lots of pops .
I recently updated my iPhone and noticed that it will no longer play as a USB device in my ES300h 2018. The port charges the phone and shows it listed but when I try to play audio the iPhone speakers are used not the cars. Only works in Bluetooth mode which is ok but not as pure of sounds as USB is. It appears maybe Lexus used iPod interface APIs not iPhone apis. Is anyone else aware or having this issue?
2001 GS300, the key fob started acting up today but not really sure if I need to replace it or not. I'll start off saying that a few weeks ago the fob seemed to completely stop working so I replaced the battery and that seemed to work, not sure if that has anything to do with the new issue or not. Now the fob won't lock the doors. I press the lock button and the red light on the fob lights up but doesn't lock the door. Unlock doesn't seem to do anything at all either. I have to manually lock the door which does lock all four doors.
Does that sound like the fob is just going bad? If I need to replace it, what are some suggestions on where and how to do that?
My alternator is not charging, i took it out and tested and it say it was a good alternator, im also not getting the (check charging system ligth on. I decided to just replace the battery and alternator since i took the old one out. When i replaced them it was still not charging and battery was completely dead. I also notice my Cooling and ac fans, turng signals, speed sensor, gear position sensor wasnt working either, the green ligth that usually turns on depending on the gear you are wont turn on. I got a few codes but those codes are coming on because some how they are not getting power, also my power steering was also really hard, its like if all those are not getting power some how. I have check for the fusible link and is good, i tested and it tested good, i have check all fuses on the car, front passenger and driver side, inside the car left and rigth, and the one in the trunk, they all are in good conditions... i took it to a guy that had a nice snap on set up to check everything on the car like a scanner and he only found codes, he also try to reprogram the ecu and still nothing he said the ecu was good that it had to be a fusible link on the wires but i cant find it... the only fusible link i know is the one on the Rigth front fuse box.. thanks in advance, sorry for misspealing im writing in english thinking on my lenguage.
I'm moving to a new city soon where it snows and I've been doing a lot of research into my 1999 RX 300s AWD system. But it is so hard to find any solid info on the nitty gritty stuff. Hope you guys can help.
Questions I have (again my model is an AWD 1999):
1. Can I tell if my vehicle has an LSD thru the VIN?
2. If it is an LSD is it a torsen?
3. Is it easy to overheat the Viscous diff driving both axles?
4. If one side (left or right side) has zero traction, I cannot pull the car out under it's own power correct?
5. I'm assuming the front differential is open right?
6. Does my vehicle come with VSC or TC? I'm assuming not.
Sorry for all the questions, hope somebody can answer even just one of them. I like to know EXACTLY what my vehicle is capable of in unconventional situations.
So Im a bit stumped again. I changed my fuel pump assembly as my car wouldnt start and now that it runs, it misfires!
Codes
- P0302 - Cylinder 2 misfire
- P1277 - not sure what this is, but Google leads to injector 2 issue
heres the scenario:
- Car ran fine with no issues and then wouldnt start
- Took off the intake manifold to check for any problems with fuel pressure sensor, all was fine
- Replaced fuel pump, cranked right up but now misfires with the above codes
-Misfire is only below 3000 RPM or very light load
- I can hear the new fuel pump, seems like its whistling and a bit louder than my original
Replacing the pump tomorrow but anymore leads by anyone? I cant imagine my injector going bad after it worked perfectly fine.

Hey, I had sort of an "unfortunate event" happen, my harness under my Driver front wheel well snapped in half. (Lowered and did not relocate harness.) Anyway, I did my attempt of re-wiring it and it took me a long time, but I didn't do the best job. My radio doesn't work now and also my trunk switch wont work, I have to open it with a key. I checked all my fuses under the hood and under the steering wheel are, all good. Anyone on here have a diagram of how the wires should go? Thanks
I was talked into buying my buddys 1998 gs300 for the wife must have recently did a transmission fluid change because the dip stick is red doesn't smell burnt eather. I replaced throttle body and censors, stI'll hates shifting into 4th esp when warm and going up hills. Have no code for the L except for an ABS code for the back rotors,think there warped...?it's not throwimg a code for my transmission..either so not sure exactly why it's slipping and having a hard time going up hills. Cld it possibly be a filter problem? Or should I get a transmission rebuild kit? Anyone else have similar problem? 200k miles on engine.
So a thought came to mind as my RX is displaying a "Low Key Battery" sign.
IF my battery is completely dead or worse, my Key Fob gets damaged, is my car dead in water?

Hello, I just purchased an IS300 ( 5 speed :D ) and I plan to change the front bumper to the Altezza RS200 or L-Tune, but I can't find them anyone online for a decent price, other than full conversion kits. Could anyone link me where I can find one for a decent price? Also and OEM spoiler or nice aftermarket one aswell? Thanks.
Problem occured a couple of weeks after having changed the 2nd solenoid in the transmission. It lacks any sort of power, kind of like when the transmission is low on ATF fluid.
I went under the car and realised I had missed to install 1 out of 19 bolts for the transmission pan. Could have been a possible ATF fluid leak. I drove the car up to 60 km/h back from work, with this problem. It took 25 minutes. When I got home to check the ATF fluid level, the dipstick was steaming and dry.
However, if I check the fluid when the car is off, having sat for a while, the dipstick is pink and smells ATF fluid. I don't really dare to drive the car up to operating temperature to check the correct level. My strategy is to fill the transmission level with half a litre/quart, and see if it makes any difference.
